Two experienced entrepreneurs make up the Nobel Education Network founding and management team:
Kurt Berlin first pursued a scientific career at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics, where he co-founded Epigenomics with Dr. Olek. He was responsible for scientific strategy, licensing and business development. Kurt negotiated the company’s global license and collaboration agreements. In 2008 he joined PHORMS as CEO of its acquisition-focused subsidiary, and completed four takeover negotiations. Under his leadership, the company managed the turnaround of its first acquisition, Heidelberg International School.
Johannes Nagel started his career as a consultant at AT-Kearney and subsequently set up a software company which he led as its CFO until 2006. As one of the co-founders of PHORMS and its CFO, he was responsible for its private financing, the set-up of a private fund and operational management of several school sites until the end of 2009. Johannes also led the real estate and facility management strategies and negotiated lease contracts worth close to EUR 100m.
